Nina Hanz

Portfolio website for Nina Hanz, a Berlin-based writer and poet whose work explores geology, ecology, and place. Features her essays, reviews, poetry publications, and artist books.

A clean, typographically-led portfolio for Nina Hanz — a German-American graduate of the Royal College of Art’s MA Writing programme. The site presents her body of work across essays, criticism, poetry pamphlets, and artist books, published in venues including Vogue, Map Magazine, and Arts of the Working Class.

The design uses a warm cream palette with sage green display typography, presenting Nina’s extensive bibliography in a calm, editorial style befitting her literary practice.

In order to maintain the typographic feel of the page, a novel image popup preview approach was created. When the user hovers over the project name, a featured image from the project is displayed in proximity to the users’ cursor.

The project is still in its pre-release development, with further collaboration with the artist set to continue soon.
